I recently got a chance to cover an community event for Singapore Polytechnic Students. It's known as Within The Grey Dimension. So what is Within The Grey Dimension Event all about?
Mission
1. To raise awareness of Rare Diseases.
2. To encourage youth to help the less privilege people in our community.
3. To inculcate a sense of altruism among fellow youths.
Description
YOUths Care project 2013 is a project initiated by the Anchorvale Community Club and implemented by a group of students from Singapore Polytechnic. This project offers an opportunity to encourage youth to come together to care for the less privilege people in our community by organizing an island-wide community service programme to inculcate a strong sense of altruism in the youth through purposeful cause. This year’s YOUths Care 2013 aims to help Rare Disorder Society Singapore (RDSS) to raise awareness of rare diseases in Singapore and help the patients. RDSS is a non-profit organization initiated by the parents of the patient. So here are some of the photos taken at the event.
It was quite an exciting i could say, as they tried to break the Singapore Book of Records : The Longest Human Train.
In anyway, congrats to the event organisers on breaking the record and a successful event!
